Mayor James R. Hill

James R. Hill was born on August 28, 1932, to the late Robert Johnson Hill and Valeria Amanda Herndon Hill in Jackson, Tenn., and the third of four sons. He was educated in Jackson and Madison County schools and graduated from North Side High School in 1952, where he was an outstanding football player for two years.

Jimmy married the late Maggie Nell Turner Hill of Three Way, Tenn. on September 28, 1952. Jimmy has two daughters Shirley Jane Hill, Amanda Suzanne Hill Jackson, one son, James Brandon Hill and one grandchild, Amanda Jackson Rodgers, one great-grandson, Aiden Cole Rodgers.

Mayor Hilll has been a resident of The City of Three Way for the past 57 years. He farmed from 1952-1967. In 1963, he was chosen by the Jaycees as Outstanding Young Farmer of Madison County, Outstanding Young Farmer of Tennessee, and in the top 20 Outstanding Young Farmers in the United States. James was then named in the book of Outstanding Young Men of America in 1964.

Jimmy served as Director of the Madison County Farm Bureau for 16 years, four years as Vice-President. He has been a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Madison County, for 57 years, where he has served as Sunday school teacher for 15 years, had perfect Sunday school attendance for 23 years, served as Church Clerk for 10 years, and served as Adult Sunday School Secretary for 10 years.

Jimmy also served nine years as Madison County Road Commissioner. He is an active member of the Three Way Community Club, where he serves as Vice President. He owned and operated a successful Construction Company for over 50 years. Mr. Hill was instrumental in the organizing of the Madison County Fire Department for the northern section of Madison County. Jimmy is the Captain of the Three Way Madison County Volunteer Fire Department, which he has served as Captain for 39 years, the start of the department. He was awarded The Kiwanis Madison County Fireman of the Year award in 2006. He has also attended Homeland Security meetings in Nashville, TN.

Jimmy was Chairman of the Anti-Annexation of Three Way and Chairman of the Incorporation committee. The Three Way community elected to be incorporated on December 29, 1998, which included the election of Jimmy as Mayor of the City of Three Way. He is presently serving his fourth 4-year term as the Mayor of the City of Three Way.

Jimmy has had his Private Pilot license for 42 years. He also enjoys various sports such as hunting, fishing and he is a racecar fan and enjoys riding his Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.

Alderman Danny Wade
Elected in 2004, Serving 2nd term.

Danny C. Wade has lived in Three Way since 1994. He was born and raised in the neighboring city of Humboldt, where he still has family and strong community ties.

Danny was elected Alderman, Position 2 for his first term in 2004. In 2008, he was elected to serve a second term.

He is employed with the Humboldt Chronicle where he is Managing Editor. He is a member of the Humboldt Rotary Club, serving as President in 2008/09. Wade served as president of the City Basketball League for five years, 1995-2000. He is also an accomplished musician.

Danny and his wife, Teresa, married in 1981. They built their home in Three Way in 1994, along with sons Jarrett and Tanner. Both sons attended Madison County Schools and have since graduated college, Jarrett from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Tanner from Sullivan University in Louisville, Ky.  


Alderman Mary Ann Tremblay
Elected in 2006, Serving 2nd term.

Mary Ann Tremblay has lived in Three Way since 2001. Mary Ann was first elected Alderman, Position 1 in 2006 and in 2010 elected to serve a second term. She serves on the Three Way Planning Board.

Mary Ann is currently self employed as a Psychotherapist at her private practice Life-Skill Solutions in Jackson, Tenn. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Employee Assistance Professional. Mary Ann serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Resource Assistance Program “WRAP” of Jackson, and the Board of Directors of the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center Madison County Relative Caregiver Advisory Board, and the Jackson Madison County Community Health Action Team Worksite Wellness Committee. Mary Ann is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Humboldt, Tenn. She is past president of the Ladies Golf League of the Humboldt Golf & Country Club.

She is married to Jim and has two children; Franklin and Ann Raines.
